Holidays/closed days:
The Holidays that I will be closed are: New Years, Memorial day, Labor day, Thanks giving/Day after, and Christmas. I will also be closed occasionally on the 4th of July, and the day after Christmas- depending on the day it falls on. I also take a week vacation during the Summer. This is a paid vacation. I will give you at least two weeks notice before, so you can make other child care arrangements.
Supply List : I will need an extra set of clothing to keep at school, that fits the weather (extra if potty training), If your child is wearing diapers or pull up I will need about a week supply of these and wipes.
If your child needs special meals other than what we provide please bring these items as needed (lactose free milk, vegetarian options, etc.)
Please DO NOT Bring toys from home, as this is a distraction to the children.
Messy Policy: We do a lot of activities that include water play, painting, food crafts, and other messy activities. Our markers and paint are washable but, please bring your child in clothes that are okay to get messy in. Children learn a lot through such activities and we want the children to learn as much as possible. Thank you for being understanding.
Sick policies: If your child is sick, please do not bring them to daycare, as it will probably spread to the other children. Sicknesses include (but are not limited to) : Any fever, coughs that continue, green out the nose, any pink eye or ringworm, and any thought of Head lice. Children may return to daycare after the Doctor has cleared them to be non contiguous or after 24 hours without a fever with out the help of medicine.
Photo/ Video Policy: We take pictures of the children in our care. The photos may be used on art work for the children, bulletin boards, advertisement, Facebook, This website, or other social media. All Photos will be in good taste and will not include personal information about the child. The Director (Cheryl) will be the only one posting photos. If you would like your child's photo to NOT be included please give me a short written statement to include in their enrollment packet.
We have a video surveillance system in our facility that records our daily activities. This helps us to have an extra view to help with supervision. The video is recorded and kept on file for about a month before it cycles through.
Communication Policy : I like to keep an ongoing communication with you about the things that are happening with your child here at daycare, so if you have any concerns, please let me know. And please also let me know how things are going at home, ex. Like if they had not enough sleep, or if someone important to them has passed away, that way I can be courteous to their needs. Being involved in your child’s childcare program will also establish this partnership.
Also Please call me if your child will not be coming to daycare that day or if they will be later or earlier than usual. This way we can plan our day accordingly. DO NOT bring your child more than 1 hour later than their scheduled time without first communicating with me.
*We reserve the right to refuse service at any time at our discretion; And to discontinue care if your child is harming other children or has uncontrollable behavior.*
